Kinross Trout Fishery

Kinross Trout Fishery has four fish ponds located in beautiful surroundings.

Baxter and Charlie: these are fly only and stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout which typically weigh between 2lb to 20lb.

Dougray and Ross: any legal methods are allowed on these two ponds, and both are stocked with Rainbow Trout which weigh between 1lb to 3lb.

On-site toilets are available at Kinross Trout Fishery, and we serve free tea and coffee throughout the day from the fishery office.

Kinross Trout Fishery is to located next to the Grouse and Claret restaurant. The fishery and restaurant work together to provide corporate days.

Fishery Rules

Bag limits must be strictly observed - with no bag sharing routine bag searches will be carried out.

No person may fish without first purchasing a fishing permit.

It is imperative that anglers record their catches by weighing and returning their permits to allow correct re-stocking figures including nil returns.

When on catch and release, always use barbless or debarbed hooks, always use a landing net, keeping the fish in the water. Only release once you have ensured they have sufficient oxygen in their gills.

Children under 14 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

No tackle to be left unattended at any time.

Fly fishing once limit is reached, catch and release after.

Children must be 12 or under to qualify for child pricing. Extra children discounted pro-rata.

No wading as ponds drop off sharply.
