After a tough 8 nights in the winter having joined Heron Lake in Wyboston, I finally got my first fish out the new venue. And it was the one I was after too!!!

Meet "Little Monty", an absolute gem and in my opinion and shared by others, the best looking fish in the lake.

The fish slipped up to a rig placed tight to a set of snags. Fished with MAD Baits Wicked White pop up presented on a hinge stiff rig.
Rig Details: 20lbs ESP tungsten semi stiff in silt boom section. Korda mouth trap 20lbs hinge section in conjunction with size 6 choddy hook.

The rig was placed among around 20 free offerings of MAD Baits Wicked Whites and the same amount of the Asbo range from MAD.

A stunning fish, cant believe it was my first one out of there.
